I'm pretty sure the "soyface" meme originated from 4chan people making fun of their thumbnails.

 

YouTube is like an entire country that I only know the name of. A friend sent me a Good Mythical Morning video last year and I looked them up only to be amazed at how big that channel is. Feels like I live under a rock

 

yeah I know absolutely nothing about YouTube “content creators” and IMO all those numbers are hugely inflated and these people aren’t actually that popular.

 

It's all anecdotal but I'm shocked that y'all haven't heard of them haha everyone in my family or social circles at least know of them.

 

I only know of Try Guys because Eugene (the Asian one) came out as gay

 

I know of the try guys because when I first became obsessed with buzzfeed unsolved, their videos came up too. Plus one of the guys in it was part of the white people taco night song which got pretty huge and I still sing in my head when people tell me they're making tacos

 

I've watched those videos where the gangly try guy in glasses eats everything off the menu of a chain restaurant in one sitting

One of the disconnects I have with the younger generation is how many of these people they know about and they talk to me about them but it’s like TV static coming out of their mouth to me about it.

 

Cheating isn’t ethical but usually just a personal issue, cheating with an employee that is your subordinate becomes more of an accountability issue.

 

I will never understand why people bother making these statements when the damage has already been done.

 

Been following these guys since their Buzzfeed days - not only was it an employee but also one that is in a lot of their videos and was engaged. It’s a BAD situation all around.

Honestly impressive how quickly men will co-opt any phrase that has event he smallest of positive connotations for them to hide all their bullshit. So many dudes with #girldad in their bios telling WNBA players to get back in the kitchen.
