I don't even know the average price of a cruise but for some reason I associate them with being like a zillion dollars so I've never looked into one
cruises seem neat. i've only been on one boat though, a small "cruise" boat and i had to drink a lot to stop the motion sickness when i was on the deck
Isn't the cruise industry also pretty bad for the environment? So, if you're into cruises, we need to hold you accountable for that. Thankfully, we're already in the right thread.
Sure, but cruises are something I’ve personally never been into (mostly because poor), so I can more easily take the moral high ground on that one.
I think my ticket was like $300? Idk, this was back in 2013 after my high school graduation. Went with my fiancee's family. It included food. I thought it was worth it and would consider going again, but there's plenty of other stuff I'd rather do first.
I remember reading somewhere that a lot of people go on cruises knowing they're going to die and want some sort of final trip or something so it's not uncommon for cruises to yeet dead bodies into the ocean when this happens
If I died on a cruise, I would give my blessing for people to use my corpse for Weekend At Bernie’s style shenanigans.
cruises are awesome and can be a stuuupidly cheap vacation if you are able to be flexible enough to book relatively last minute.
For sure. I always cruise with Celebrity, and they even include the drink package (and wifi) in all fares now. Doesn’t get much better
Cruises are like adult day camp, for better or worse. Every day you can look at a schedule and say "Oh look! Bingo after dinner at 7pm or basketball on the upper deck" or you can lay out on the upper deck to tan or hit the casino at all hours. There's something for everyone, but I started to feel trapped the one cruise I went on and too much "on a schedule". I learned that I like flexibility on my vacations. Accountability issues aside, let's not besmirch cruise comedians too much. One of my uncles-in-law is one and he's fantastic. The epitome of an old pro who can play to any room, which is a strength most comedians can only dream of. The racist ones can all fuck the fuck off.
Apparently Ned Fulmer from the Try Guys cheated on his wife with his own employee, and is no longer going to be a part of the show.
Infidelity isn't cool (especially with someone who works for/under you), but the fact that this whole guy's schtick was being a "wife guy" makes it so much more egregious.
Especially fucked up thinking about how he had his wife and child on certain episodes (was a while back from what I remember but still), can't imagine. Reasonable to think they interacted with whomever the employee was.
Yeah I've been watching them for years. They started off as a buzzfeed segment, but they eventually bought the rights to their name and brand and have been operating the business on their own. They weirdly have a show on the Food Network now. Ned is pretty much everyone's least favorite Try Guy so it's no major loss.
