Well I just mean that the coverage of this trial keeps failing to mention that Depp has at least been credibly reported to have abused Amber Heard, but I also don’t remember this much coverage of a judge finding that Depp beat her a dozen times
It’s frustrating having friends and co-workers who are Johnny Depp fans and hooked on Reddit. They view this whole thing through a very narrow lens, to the point where I just have to “Wow. Oh that’s crazy.” through the whole conversation because it’s not worth fighting someone over something they’re totally convinced of.
I think it’s because society as a whole can’t get the idea that both parties can be bad. They think it has to be one (if Depp looks good then obviously Heard is the wrong one, vice versa). Or they hear things about one and assume the other is innocent without looking into it. The current videos TikTok videos going around Reddit and Twitter also make Depp look good and Heard’s lawyers look like fools.
This is not meant to be directed at you or in judgment of you or anything, but it low key irks me when people delete posts. I feel like it disrupts the conversation and makes it hard, if not impossible, to follow for anyone who reads it afterward. I'm all about preserving the moment, unless it's absolutely necessary to do otherwise.
I don’t think it’s a problem to post a video of a celebrity assaulting someone, the initial video clip does look bad and Mike Tyson definitely has a history of assaulting people, including women, so he doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. Just so happens the guy seemed to have it coming.
I wonder if Marvel Studios is freaking out about the Murray stuff. He's going to be playing an undisclosed villain in the next Ant-Man & Wasp coming out next year, and it's already been shot. If this situation escalates they would either need to drop whatever character Bill Murray is playing or re-shoot it with someone else.
Odds are they’ll do nothing and the story will die down. It’d have to be major major news for them to spend that kind of money and even then they probably wouldn’t bother.
They didn’t bat an eye at any of the Jeremy Renner stuff, they’ll let it die down and carry on like it never happened
His harassment of Lucy Liu is basically film legend at this point and no one cares. Disney and his stans will likely be sure this is forgotten.

Obviously I have no insight into their relationship, but regardless this is a gross move from Sudeikis.
