Its very confusing what's going on with Wakanda Forever, but I'm guessing the plan since Boseman's passing was to make Wright the new Black Panther and then that got thrown out the window when she wasn't cooperating so maybe they having Winston Duke do it instead? Thus rewrites, delays etc I could be wrong though

 

She is still the lead for Wakanda Forever as filming was paused after an on-set injury and the resumed once she healed and received a vaccine. Money talks and I’m sure the Marvel cash talked her into finally getting a vaccine. The reports that Duke is getting a larger role probably means that Marvel isn’t betting their chips on Wright holding the Black Panther mantle in future films. Can’t blame them.
