Tyra was wild. I was super into her talk show and antm and those girls could never win. I remember on her talk show she like guilted one of the girls about how she lied about her sobriety to Tyra and even back then I was like chill sis she doesn't owe you an exclusive about her trauma if she wasn't ready to talk about it

And she always had the girls do such needlessly grueling shoots. If they pushed through and fainted or something she'd lecture them on not knowing their boundaries and limits, but if they set a boundary she'd lecture them for not being daring and bold enough. And the models could barely even afford to eat during filming and then their careers went nowhere after being on the show

 

My gf recently ran through the show and I couldn’t believe some of the stuff I’d see. Just insane.

The "doll" story, from what I gather, is that he was on such a squeaky clean show that he needed some sort of outlet to make offensive jokes. He even clarifies it was when the children were off set. I'm not excusing the words or the jokes, but that thread goes on to say that the girls had eating disorders or drugs and alcohol problems and then links it to his behavior on set which is...really fucking stupid unless stated by them somewhere.

 

Always thought it was sad that the Olsen twins had to deal with being so sexualized in the media and instead of receiving support from their (former) costars, Bob just perpetuated it.

That's one thing I admire about the modern family cast. The adults seem v supportive of the kid actors on the show.

 

Like, I'm all for bringing up any sort of abuse/problematic behavior at any time, even a person's death. But what is posted above is literally just quotes from a Roast and from his own memoir. All in the context of jokes, and in the context of jokes that are mean to cross a line or be offensive. Say what you will about his language there, along with his continued support of rapists, which really sucks, but to string together public quotes of his, out of context, and attempt to say that he was some sort of pedophile or rapist responsible for mental health issues of his young costars is pretty fucked up.
