I'm surprised that they're still releasing it in theaters and not shoveling it off to Hulu like with that Ben Affleck/Ana De Armas movie.
It’s a similar situation to what happened with West Side Story. It’s not the fault of anyone else involved with the film that he’s in it. The film was wrapped well before the story broke about him. People also assume it’s easy to do what they did with Christopher Plummer that time, but it really isn’t; it only worked in that movie because the character was largely confined to one location and didn’t interact with many of the other actors. It sucks but it’s not fair to everyone else involved to shovel it off to a streaming service, or not release it at all, just because of one guy. And it’s not like he was still cast in the movie after what he did was publicly known. Not saying I’ll be seeing it, I won’t, it just is a complicated situation.
I watched Ender's Game in theaters to support everyone else who made the movie even though OSC is part of a homophobic church iirc. Coming out as a trans lesbian, I'm not sure that was the right call anymore. I'm definitely not paying to see any Fantastic Beasts or other HP related media ever again
You know, I saw a tweet about Jimmy Pesto being at the riot and I thought the show just took a real weird turn
Jimmy Pesto getting arrested at the capitol trying to advertise for his restaurant to own bob would be hilarious
God that interview is a pain to read… I hate when they don’t just edit out the “ums” and repeated words when they’re clearly thinking of what to say, etc. But whatever. I’m not in any kind of rush to see James Franco in the spotlight again. Im sure he did this interview because he’s about to announce a new movie or something soon so he needs to clear the air a bit first. Blah.
So is he admitting he lied and called the victims liars? Because he didn’t just stay silent he said their accounts were not accurate
