I did have a fleeting thought when all of that came out about Hardwick if Doug was gonna change the theme song for his show.... then I remembered it’s Doug Benson

 

They said he wouldn’t be in any subsequent Deadpool movies. But it sucks that’s the most blowback he’s received.

 

Yeah my local comedy club kept promoting his show here and it was a real bummer

Not really anything new in the article, just conjecture... After the publicity, I would be surprised if it went forward. I imagine most funders are wary of the controversy.

I wonder why they couldn't just more bankable stars in supporting roles. Big stars = funding, but that doesn't mean the big star has to play Dante Tex Gill.

Wow. I mean, he was openly involved in Troma. Did people not know?

 

I knew he worked on some weird films in the past: Tromeo and Juliet - Wikipedia

But I didn't know about these hundreds of fucked up tweets.

 

Yeah, he was pretty involved in a few projects. Which is why I was surprised they let him helm so many huge projects lol

 

I think Super was his last movie before he got hired for Guardians and that features a rape scene.

 

Super, while I love it for it's dark humor, was a very messed up movie. I was also shocked he was hired for Disney.

 

I just hate that its Trump cronies spearheading it

 

Were these just readily available before this? Did they uncover some old deleted tweets or were these just sitting there waiting to be found?

If it's the later then how the hell do major corporations or PR teams not just take a look at the feed before signing someone?

It does suck that it's at the hands of the MAGA crowd. But I really feel that if you've changed as a person since those tweets - scrub your account and start over. Not saying that he hasn't changed, but you've got to show discretion.

 

If you're famous or about to become famous and you don't delete all of your tweets, you're very dumb and you've hired very dumb people to work for you.

 

I will never understand the cognitive dissonance from those people.

 

Or at least scrub the tarnishing ones
