This is also a point I’ve tried to bring up with a lot of people I know. Writing off a woman for some kind of amorphous claims about not being nice while being fine with tons of men with these reputations is the worst.
It's a double standard in every way of life: Men are assertive, women are pushy. Men are virile, women are slutty. etc...
I’m in a singles group on FB for a convention I go to (mostly to keep tabs on people to avoid at this point), and there’s a huge thread right now full of men agreeing with Henry Cavill’s statement and making other disgusting statements about women. It never ceases to amaze me that they will be so brazen even in a group where their goal is to find a date. So so gross.
his language is a huuuuuuge red flag. he can't stand that now there's "rules" about it and he loves the "chase" because he's "traditional" like women are some how the prey. no joke.. I can't believe anyone has reiterate this this but its not hard to talk/flirt to women without sexually harassing them
I haven't followed the Scarlett story too closely, has she been getting a lot more backlash than other non-trans actors that have played trans characters?
Just more publicly/ people are starting to actually listen Plus part of it is she's a high profile actress But trans people have always spoken they're just getting heard maybe kinda sometimes Mark Ruffalo Responds to Matt Bomer Transgender Casting Criticism
Ok thanks. Wasn't sure if there was more to the Scarlett backlash or if it was just being heard more now than in past situations.
never liked TJ. he seemed like that annoying hs drama kid also always think of this embarrassing photo him and his wife
i don't think anything really happened. he's still booking tours across the country even after drunkenly calling in a bomb threat
