Mel Gibson is like Exhibit A for why cancel culture isn’t a thing and the truth is even the worst of the worst people in entertainment continue to be enabled by fame and the industry.
I'm sure all these grown men just convince these young girls/young adults that they're just so much more mature than other girls ugh sickening
Addison Rae was also the one who did TikTok dances on Fallon that were created by primarily POCs and did not credit them
I feel like that describes every white Tiktok dance person (stealing poc dance moves and using poc music)
It's not like she's banned lol she can post anytime she wants. Celebs like that where their fame is so tied to their socials is just so bizarre. She has two kids and all the money in the world with all the rich friends and she's still desperate to share her thoughts on social media. But I guess when it's your entire brand u become dependent on it. Girl do some self reflecting and make that part of ur healing journey tl;dr
She wasn’t even “cancelled” she was just called out for being really shitty towards someone else. I don’t want this to come across as diminishing depression but it’s like, she has all the money, resources, and connections at her fingertips and lives a pretty charmed life so it’s just annoying to see her complaining on social media about being cancelled instead of realize the place of privilege she is coming from. Basically, the gif posted above. What does she even “do” for a living? I swear the only times I see her is on talk shows or social media, and that’s not meant to be a dig but I feel like most celebrities don’t have the same weird relationship to social media because they’re busy with their jobs (acting, singing, etc.)
She's a "model" but lbr she's known for being married to John legend and then she garnered a following on social media for being sassy and relatable and then she forayed that into other opportunities. I feel like some celebs get wrapped up in the bubble of social media and interacting with fans praising them all day and they get genuinely lonely without it. Demi Lovato is similar. They can't stay off of it. They need like constant validation and a consistent platform to share every thought in their heads. It's unhealthy and sis needs to figure that out. And she doesn't even seem to be taking what she was "cancelled" over that seriously. Which shows she's not even taking time off of it to reflect, but just to try and hide out from backlash
