Although Corden does suck and deserves to be "cancelled" (lol as if cancel culture actually exists) for a variety of reasons, that segment just being one of them. It's easy to look up why. He's a shitty dude!
That entire comedian network just does and says the worst shit and literally each one just takes a short time off and goes right back to what they were doing with no real consequences, and a lot if it is because no matter what they do they support each other. Any half hearted apology is immediately accepted within their circles and victims are quickly forgotten and impacts are downplayed. The real culture that exists is the celebrity culture of enabling but the right wing hasn’t made it a buzzword and the media doesn’t give a shit about it.
To me it's felt like most of Chris's friends dumped him and haven't been back. Then again, I kinda stopped listening to the majority of them.
Are all the (current) late night talk show hosts shitty? I feel like I might have asked this before, someone saying it kinda comes with the territory. I can't remember hearing anything bad about Trevor Noah, John Oliver, Colbert, or Conan, though.
Conan, Seth, and Colbert are definitely my favorite late night hosts (and the only tolerable ones tbh)
What do u ppl think about David Spade and George Lopez since we are on the topic of late night hosts cuz they were at one point unless we’re only talking about current ones if current what about Elmo and Samantha Bee
I have such a soft spot for David Spade for some reason. I don’t know a single thing about George Lopez other than what he looks like.
David Spade likes to fuck. In the Chris Farley oral biography, Spade would go out with Farley and while Chris’s vices were food and drinks/drugs, Spade would lay off and simply try to pick up women. He’s acknowledged that he routinely hits on women/actresses he’s worked with in film and TV.
Trevor is particularly unfunny too. I've watched some clips of The Daily Show during the pandemic and every single joke just falls flat on its face.
