I hate the whole mentality with certain YouTubers a la Dobrik where they feel filming everything, even stuff that clearly does not warrant filming or where the people involved request the camera be turned off, needs to be filmed in the name of "it's just a joke" or "we're just goofing around". It's not a joke/goofing around if the person/people involved are telling you to stop! That's why the sexual assault happened, because Dobrik and his crew don't think something is as serious as it actually is, hence why they fail to listen to people who tell them to stop or to own up to a mistake.
I’m not sure if this is comparable, but Jackass got much of its humor from outsiders being filmed and their reactions. If they were comfortable signing a waiver for their face to be shown, they did. Others had their faces blurred. Grant it, a lot of the Jackass crew had/have problematic issues themselves. But this was in the days before YouTube.
Don’t think this was ever shared but Dave Chappelle sure loves hanging out with creepy/shitty people Re: Bill Murray and Kid Rock
The fact that Kid Rock was there (and brought up on stage!) after the N word incident by Chappelle is just wow
Really hating this trend of YouTubers being rightfully called out for disgusting behavior, going away for a small amount of time, then coming back as if nothing happened! Let's talk again about how cancel culture totally exists...
Chris Brown accused of hitting woman in Los Angeles, police say It’s almost as if abusers don’t change their behavior when they face no real accountability
That normal everyday occurrence where you yell so hard at your wife that they ask you to leave the plane and you take a separate flight from her
I'm unfamiliar with as to why Corden sucks, and really have no obligation to defend him at all. But I am curious, why is the immediate reaction to this, 'cancel Corden', and not just address the problem and move on? Like this is problematic for these reasons, don't do it, and carry on. If it continues then fire him, and that's that. I'm really trying to not defending him nor hate on cancel culture, so I hope it doesn't come off that way.
