Yvette Nicole Brown Replaces Chris Hardwick For ‘Walking Dead’ Comic-Con Panel Give her Talking Dead too!
God Terry why do you have to be like this. Python has been so important to me since basically birth but he just keeps making it harder and harder to support him. Cleese has definitely done some of the “well I want to make fun of EVERYONE so that makes it fine” garbage, but even he knows when to actually take things seriously.
I really wish Alec Baldwin was like Jack Donaghy in real life, he's amazing on that show and I always forget how big of a douche he is in real life when I watch it
"Hey Jerry remember when you dated that 17 year old and nothing of consequence happened? Good times. Now I'm afraid to kiss my wife on the cheek ha ha ha do you like my Trump face?"
The weirdest thing is that Jerry makes a joke about someone else dating a 17 year old and how the cops should be called or something. I believe it was in the Dana Carvey episode and I get that what Jerry did wasn't against the law, it just struck me as really odd that he would even joke about it.
There might be a more relevant thread for this (feel free to cross post), but Amanda Nguyen (founder of Rise) is trying to get the UN to pass a resolution against sexual violence and has a petition up: https://www.change.org/p/pass-the-united-nations-sexual-assault-survivors-bill-of-rights-resolution
This is a really interesting thing that happened this week. Pokémon episode skips US air for the first time in 16 years
But seriously, any time I see anyone talk like this, from celebrities to acquaintances, I just get so sad. So many people indoctrinated so deeply in a way that puts vulnerable people so at risk.
I love mira and all these stories coming out + the fact that she was labeled as difficult by Hollywood makes me so angry
I feel so awful for her. I’ve been trying to help some of my family change their minds about certain actresses who have had that “difficult” label put on them over the years and who are being treated the same way and it’s so difficult. I really hope she will be able to be successful in whatever way she tries going forward. Also that part about the “big name director with a social justice profile” is incredibly terrifying as well.
I always take women in Hollywood being labeled difficult with a grain of salt, especially because people like Bill Murray and Ed Norton are openly rude on sets and it's somehow charming
They care about film a lot, so it’s one of the main things we talk about. Every now and then someone will come up and the response will be, “Oh I don’t like her, she was mean to so and so,” or something like that. Ever since more and more of these blacklisting stories have come out I’ve tried to question those views and see where they came from/why they are taken as true.
I work in film and TV and half of the actresses I’d been warned about turned out to be delightful. Rarely does anyone warn you about male actors.
