I love Seinfeld in all of his comedic endeavors, but it seems that I disagree with the majority of what he thinks about serious shit.

Like, personally, I don’t think it was overkill, but I also hate these fucking trash articles that literally quote one or two words or whatever and then design a click bait title around it. And then if you read the comments it’s clear that no one even read the full statement. It’s beyond frustrating.

Eh I know what Jerry rly said was misconstrued but he is still wrong for different reasons. She's not committing suicide. She had a highly rated show and was validating a lot of hateful opinions who held her up. She was flourishing and experiencing a comeback before she was fired and I feel like this downplay of their influence is what allows them to get so far and then we're like BUT HOW DID THIS HAPPEN

It's just kind of out of touch and privileged. I wish she was hanging herself with her words alone, but she rly wasn't, at least not with a certain segment of people who supported her and still do

Yeah even with his quote in context, I don't understand what he's trying to say? She didn't need to be fired because she was firing herself? Is he imagining a scenario where she would have held herself accountable so her employers wouldn't need to?

 

I think he's a comedian who doesn't care to talk about how stupid Roseanne is/was and just said something about how she committed career suicide. I don't think it's even worth reading into.

 

Firing is overkill because she ended her own career? Which I think is v misguided. Her opinions and views are what enabled her to make such a public comeback. Idk Jerry sucks on social issues so he should prob just not speak on them lol.

 

Isn’t getting fired from your show a consequence of ruining your own career? How would her career have been ruined had ABC let her keep her job?

 

Wasn't sure the appropriate place to post this. The gist of it is that people claim she lied about her relationship status to get more money from single dudes on Twitch/Patreon. She's been doxed and shamed on Twitter a bunch.

i used to sub to /r/livestreamfails when it was just cool win clips or gaming fails but the community has gotten so stupid toxic it isn't enjoyable anymore. regardless on what she's doing on their channels, idk why they care so much about people and how they spend their money.
