I wonder if his daughter says anything about that tweet. She has a platform to call him on his bullshit.
Who would have thought they guy who molested 5 girls, including his own sisters, and then had his parents cover it up would grow up to possess child pornography?
Maybe its just me but the "who would have thought" comments every time someone does something terrible sounds very condescending and unproductive. Up there with the "I never liked their work anyways" comments.
My comment was born from the fact that his fucking parents covered up his past crimes, with the help of local law enforcement, and now here we are. He was allowed to further victimize more children, which is where this was always ending up. Was the comment productive? I don’t know man. I don’t really think any comment on a message board is particularly productive. But I don’t really know who it’s meant to be condescending toward?
TLC has been enabling this family and their countless abuses for close to 20 years. Absolutely despicable. I wish I had any hope that this would lead to actual consequences for his parents and everyone else as well, but they’ve managed to continue with no issue every other time they’ve been connected with known abuse so I wouldn’t at all be surprised if they do it again now. That entire culture is so unbelievably harmful and just within that one family there are tons of children still directly being harmed by it every day.
I didn’t know anything about Noel Clarke’s behavior, but I’ve been uncomfortable with Barrowman for years. Can’t remember if I mentioned it when it happened or not, but I went to a panel he did at DragonCon in like 2018 and there were so many inappropriate comments and actions that I couldn’t even begin to list them all. It was like his entire schtick and the room full of 2,000 people was cracking up while I got more and more nervous and basically stopped being a fan during it. One of the worst things he did was steal a teenage fan’s phone as a “bit” because she was filming being on stage instead of just talking to him, put it down his pants and underwear, and then take a picture. It seemed like something he did often and again, that got probably the most applause out of anything that happened in the panel. I’m sure now that the shoe has finally dropped there will be countless video examples of that kind of behavior taking place not just in public, but on a literal pedestal. I worry about what he has done that he wouldn’t talk about if that is the kind of thing he does proudly.
Quoting myself from 2018 since I did bring it up at the time. If I remember correctly the “horrible story” I mentioned there was referring to the exact thing talked about in the video posted today. Pretty sure it was a makeup artist or someone similar on the crew that he talked about assaulting in that, “Oh wow aren’t I cheeky,” way that he talks about everything.
Joe Rogan Admits He's A 'F**king Moron' For Offering Selfish COVID-19 Vaccine Advice | HuffPost Accountability...from Joe Rogan? I am shocked.
Damage is done, apology won't change anything. Most of his fans will probably assume he was forced to say it and that he doesn't actually believe it.
