I feel like the one person I've heard good things about is Jerry Ferrara, am I crazy? I feel like he had some crossover with the comedy podcast community at some point or something.
Kevin Connolly called Katie Nolan ugly multiple times because her fans didn't like him. Truly the biggest, shortest loser.
i root for Jerry Ferrara only because I rooted so hard for Turtle in the show haha, feel like Turtle was the only character that actually turned around from the douchey misogynistic bro he was depicted as early on in the show.
I somehow completely missed out on Entourage, and Silicon Valley. But I did watch Master of None and Louie...
The worst thing I ever did was take my girlfriend to see the Entourage movie in theaters. I'll never live it down. But we're still together, so I've done the work to atone lol
They coulda done something really interesting and killed Vince off during that ep that ended with him passed out by the pool, but they didn’t have the balls
I only watched Entourage because it was at a time when I associated HBO with quality and tried to watch everything they were making. It was Big Love that broke me, though, whereas I just never kept going with Entourage.
I didn't have HBO when Entourage was on so I was never exposed to it at the age it was intended for (teenage boys). Have heard nothing but bad things about it and many of the people involved in making it since then so never had a desire to go back and check it out.
I lucked out in having been poor for about 30 years now, so I've had almost zero access or exposure to HBO until I stole a friends HBOMAX login - so I totally missed Entourage but do remember every. fucking. dude. in my life being obsessed with it.
The only thing I remember when I watched "Entourage" was them golfing off of a roof and Scarlett Johannsson was going to be one of Vince's big conquests. My mind has erased the rest.
I started watching it in earnest when I was 16. I started realizing how bad it was when I was like 19 but it was also a sort of compelling anti-narrative sort of thing where it was so lazy and indulgent that the way it overtly avoided every possible interesting story choice made it watchable in an unintentional way.
I think most knew Entourage wasn't a *good* show, but it was dumb entertainment. How To Make It In America, the hipster fashion version of Entourage with Kid Cudi, now that was a masterpiece.
Entourage was absolutely *huge* when I was in college. Most people just watched for the cameos. The storylines were nonexistent, the acting was dreadful and the characters were abhorrent. Honestly forgot the show even existed.
He helped discover a local punk band around here that's going to be in a Dave Grohl doc, so that might be the coolest thing about the show for me.
The best part of Entourage were the AV Club's parody scripts that accompanied any news on the show. Scenes from the Entourage movie that is our life, now that the Entourage movie is happening
