Seems like the kinda thing some of the people in my church/community would say, including a couple very near & dear to me, which was a big factor in me finally pulling the plug on my Facebook. Pretty common misappropriation of biblical ideas in some faith groups, unfortunately. So, not the most shocking thing to me. Really sucks to see someone with her platform talk like that, though, especially someone I like so much. Would love if some of her peers from, like, Black Panther or whatever could help her realign her perspective just enough in some of these areas to get rid of that antivax bit. Though, 2020 has made me extra pessimistic about how ingrained conspiracies can get in people’s heads.
I’m reading that as “I’m not gonna attack her on here but I absolutely plan on speaking to her in person,” is that what everyone else gets from it?
Questioning things around you and in the world is fine. However, if I was in one of the biggest movie franchises ever, I sure as shit wouldn't do it on social media!
Especially when you're obviously being considered to take over the sequel to the, what, third highest grossing movie of all time?
Check out Lupe Fiasco's Twitter from the past few weeks if you want to see a celebrity actually making an effort to educate antivax idiots. For some reason he's getting a shitload of them in his mentions and he keeps making them look like morons
