I remember listening to Cashing in with T.J. Miller all the time when I first started listening to podcasts. I definitely remember him seeming pretty chill and having some not bad advice at times. It's been disappointing to see the full reveal of his awfulness in the last couple years.

 

Same. Then he was accused of rape, assaulted a cab driver, sent a horribly transphobic attack letter and made a bomb threat and I just didn't think he was so fun anymore.

But how dare the horrible left think he should face some consequences!

Not sure if this technically belongs here, but this is a clear cash-grab on the pandemic produced by Michael Bay. The plot feels ripped directly from anti-mask/anti-vaxx facebook groups. Isn't KJ Apa an anti-masker or something dumb like that?

The updated version of the Ray Fisher article has a statement from the Whedon camp claiming that complications in the color correction, when combining his digital footage & Snyder’s film footage, was the real problem. Which... I dunno, I feel like the director of two very successful Avengers films could find away to, with that studio’s help, shoot in a way that wouldn’t lead to colorism. Doesn’t help that so many POC had reduced or cut roles.

Ultimately, it shouldn’t be surprising that the same Whedon who was called out by his wife a while ago for cheating on her with people on his sets (& blaming those women for it) still sucks. And, while the recent statements by black former DC Comics editors weren’t about Geoff Johns, between that & other situations (like Eddie Berganza taking so long to get fired)... I probably need to just put Johns in my mind in the “ones who are bad” column.

 

I had no idea Sean Connery was abusive towards women. That is disappointing.
