In a sense, the Superbad cops are maybe the most realistic depiction of cops in a movie: guys who became cops not out of some higher calling to protect the community, nor even a necessarily malicious excuse to wield power over people, but because they are just some morons who get the job and come to realize that, as cops, they can basically do whatever they want
