I believe he's putting the onus on people of color for getting killed by police, instead of looking at the police and their inherently racist system as the reason.

did middleditch not emotionally abuse a former partner that was posted about either in here or the comedy thread? seems potentially related

Thread: The Ringer Union is advocating for a more inclusive writing staff and group of podcast speakers
seems like it’s a response to russillo praising simmons’ “diverse” hirings, which doesn’t seem to be something based in reality
I actively choose not listen to Simmon’s podcast nor do I follow Ryan Russillo so I’ll look into it. Simmons is not my favorite person but I really think the staff is great for the most part so I hope they make changes in the future to be more inclusive.
I like the Ringer, mostly, but why they invested so much in Russillo is honestly baffling. He’s not charismatic, insightful, or funny, and I think he’s a generally shitty guy!
literally one POC writer for the two major sports that the site covers. they have POC writers/pod personalities for pop culture/"political" pods, but that's so unacceptable, man
Yeah I exclusively listen to Group Chat/Heat Check for NBA. I can’t stand listening to KOC and Vernon talk but of course they’re the only ones that have done NBA pods for The Ringer since the league was paused.
bad month or so for Glee with Naya making racist jokes and Heather interpretive dancing for George Floyd on TikTok
