It isn't bad but imo it doesn't showcase their strengths - namely, that they can write a damn good pop rock song

 

Phantoms is the only album that I listen to the tracks in order.

 

Different is probably my second favourite song of theirs. It's fantastic.

 

Still don't dig the new song. Hope the album is stronger.

are we talking just on that album or of all time? i honestly can't pick a "worst song" if we're talking about phantoms, alone. that album is one of the most consistent albums i own.

 

Permanent has always been my least favourite on Phantoms. Still solid.

Permanent came on at the Valencia show last night and it was def a highlight of the night for me lol

 

I was just re-listening to that Basement album from last year and remembered how much "Submission" reminded me of Acceptance –

 

Ew not a fulfilling bump lol

Hey, I enjoyed that Basement record, especially the 3-song stretch of Aquasun–Submission–Oversized.

But they're still not as good as Acceptance.

 

They answered someone who asked the name of the song... it's "Fire & Rain".

 

Yeah, I've come to the conclusion that Diagram is my favorite Acceptance song.

People don't like "Different"? That's their defining track in my mind, although I also love "Take Cover"

 

differents fine, but not the best single choice on phantoms imo

 

I mean I can see why the label did go with it...there was a lot of successful slower rock songs around that time. Just there are much stronger songs on the album.
