Not that my opinion should matter to anyone, but I would love for the features to be people from the era of the original Phantoms release (which Martin falls into) more than newer folks. But I can see it both ways, it's also important to give younger singers/bands a chance. I'm just tired of Knuckle Puck guy on everything.
My understanding is that it’s Jason with a lot of guest vocalists to add some extra flavor. As someone who owns like a dozen copies of the original, I’m fine with it. A fun bonus edition to compliment the original. I guess the only thing that bums me out a little is that I thought there was new music. Which there may still be at some point?
I’d have to imagine that if they signed with a new label they’ve most likely got more then just this re-release planned, so I’m hopeful that after the 20th anniversary Phantoms things have been rolled out, brand new music will follow.
1. Take Cover (feat. Martin Johnson) 2. So Contagious (feat. Teddy Swims) 3. In Too Far (feat. Jenna McDougall) 4. The Letter (feat. John O'Callaghan) 5. Different (feat. Alex Gaskarth) 6. Ad Astra Per Aspera (Instrumental feat. Ellisay) 7. This Conversation Is Over (feat. Stephen Christian) 8. Over You (feat. Derek DiScanio) 9. Breathless (feat. Charlotte Sands) 10. In The Cold (feat. Mitch Grassi) 11. Permanent (feat. Matty Mullins) 12. Glory/Us (feat. Cassadee Pope)
If emarosa didn’t get cancelled, Bradley would have been an obvious choice. I know this is his favorite album
I think it’s a pretty solid guest list. Excited to hear Jenna, Charlotte and Cassadee’s spots. Always like a male/female vocal trade off.
