I can't deny I wish it was more 'stadium anthem' like Phantoms/Fire & Rain but I really appreciate how layered this song is. There's a lot to take in with this one but you can tell they're doing a sound they all want to.
Both of these songs have not really moved the needle for me at all. Will still check out the entire EP though
Interesting, I think Midnight might be one of my favorite Acceptance songs, almost immediately. Its absolutely GIGANTIC
The other two tracks are OKAY. The two singles are definitely of more quality. Son of the City does nothing for me, but Wasted Nights is pretty good (at least the drums give the song a bit more life). Hoping we get a tad bit more energy on the LP but I’m not sure they are that band anymore? Who knows. Lots of nice sonic layers in the songs but it can be listless in spots. Anytime I find myself waiting for a bridge to save a song I know I’m trying to hard to enjoy something lol
"Wasted Nights" is a lot of fun and definitely the most different for them. I really want some horns in that song.
cool. found it. i had been checking there but was only looking at their sidebar which apparently isnt updated in real time.
on first listen, "Wasted Nights" is super fun. really digging the vibe on this one. EDIT - this is my favorite song on this EP. catchy as hell. LOVE. maybe Acceptance's most "fun" song ever. "Son of the City" is probably my least favorite song. not sure how i feel about it yet
Just saw this on the vinylcollective boards Wild, Free https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F6QNMHQ/?tag=absolutepunk-20 October 2nd
