    It’s the only place people curate their personas even more performatively than Instagram and I actively resent the need to constantly either Post My Wins or Be a Thought Leader. It’s not the posters who truly frighten me, though — it’s the people who live in the comments. Absolute freaks.

    Also depends on whether it’s the first word of the sentence (“buddy” and “pal” hit different than “hey buddy” or “how ya doin’ pal”).
