I legitimately wonder what percent of the vote Harambe is going to get on election day.

 

No offense to anybody but Harambe jokes are about as dead as Harambe imo

 

I think I read that the zoo Harambe lived in deleted all their social media bc they're grieving and the jokes made them upset.

 

I quasi-agree in the sense that it sucks that it was taken from Weird Twitter and co-opted by the mainstream, but I still find the entire thing fascinating in a weird, only-in-2016 kind of way. There's this blurred line where I can't even tell which people are being serious or joking anymore. I think it's a lot like the Crying Jordan in that every time I think it's done or has jumped the shark, I read or see something else that literally makes me howl out loud in laughter.

Also, fuck Cecil the Lion. Guy had no memeability.

 

the concept of memes has become a meme itself and I think that's why Harambe became such a huge thing. It went straight from meme to meta-meme which has why it's persisted.

 

I don't get this Pawn Stars meme I've been seeing everywhere.
