Where did it even come from?

 

It's the latest entry in a genre of ribbing scripted responses for the socially anxious/overwhelmed that's taken over Twitter in the last few weeks. There's a debate going on regarding whether the scripts are genuinely useful to certain people, such that it's in poor taste to make fun of them, or whether they're so silly and robotic that nobody should be encouraged to rely on them. (ETA the below tweets from a neurodivergent friend for whom this seems to hit close to home.)
