my main concern with that is that it's still not safe for stds !! but i also avoid sickness, germs, and lack of cleanliness like the plague so my own deep anxieties are the root of that concern

 

If they’re monogamous/fine with contracting whatever their partner has then is that an issue?

 

being monogamous helps (if you're poly you ABSOLUTELY should always use protection). but there always remains the real possibility that a partner is unfaithful, which is accompanied by a statistical likelihood to a) not tell their partner b) not use protection. there's also risk of a partner having an STD from a previous relationship/partner, including non p/v sexual contact like kissing.

so yeah it really isn't as big a deal as i make it be i just have anxiety lol. (unrelated to this but relevant to me/my anxiety as a queer guy, queer or straight couples having anal sex should always use condoms.)
