This is incredible. I did not become a regular visitor until 2010-2012 ish I think but it’s so cool to see the subtle changes I subconsciously picked up on put into text and formally acknowledged (like going from caps to all lowercase, or 3 column to 2)

I'm in love with the ordinary

I noticed that too, made me smile ... but sad lol.

It's crazy seeing all of these! I don't remember the super early ones but I feel like I was there around 2003-2004? They seem familiar. Crazy to think I've been around that long. Thanks for all the news over the years, Jason!

Awesome, that just took me back through time. Discovered AP.net in 2002 through a message board on Audio Galaxy.

I also remember "Rough Draft" by Yellowcard ruling that King of the Hill feature for the longest time, too (if only I could remember more important things).

I miss the comment section under all the articles.

I enjoyed the three column layout that you had going on for awhile. It felt like a good amount of info but not too much. And that Fueled by Ramen tour on the 2005 page-can we bring that back?

I agree. I think it's too hard to find the comments, especially with the redesign. It's honestly my only issue with the new layout. I think we have fewer discussions because people aren't even aware that there are discussions associated with each article. I believe I've voiced this with @Jason Tate, but I'm curious if others feel the same way. I would honestly love for "Comments" to be blue text next to the "read more" link. Because inside the "read more" link, it's really hard to find comments.

  7. The news comments are why I almost quit in 2016. I'd shut the entire website down before I let them get like that again.

Wow really? As an end user my experience was different, but what was the big issue with the news comments? Was there just a ton of moderation that had to happen? Maybe I'm looking at things through rosy glasses, but I don't remember the comments being that bad (at least once the upvote/downvote system was done away with).

Y'know, I don't remember the first time I visited the site. But I definitely recall visiting at a time point where it switched from being just about Blink-182 and MxPx to having a broader focus. I remember there was a picture of New Found Glory, and maybe a reference to Millencolin and Midtown somewhere? My memory's kinda hazy. But I definitely remember the NFG picture being from the S/t days.

Man, now I'm remembering the days of the leaked MP3s being "hidden" in the news article posts.

Crazy how long AP.net/Chorus have been a part of my life.

I agree. When Chorus first launched, I didn't see the comment section for months. It was so buried. Since then its been redesigned a bit and it seems to be more clear where to go.

Such a nostalgia trip. I was a lurker from 2005 on wards till I plucked up the courage to join the forums in 2007ish.

I have to agree about the comments being a mixed bag. I remember there was a lot of hate/hostile comments towards certain bands to the point where a few actually rejoiced when it was less accessible on the move to Chorus. Buddy from Senses Fail springs to mind? I do prefer having the comments a bit more accessible in the latest Chorus version but the real conversation for new singles, albums, news etc happens more in the forums now after being announced and I'm cool with that.

There are a few things I miss like the round ups and having several active band members in the forums but I love Chorus and the community we have now.

Congrats Jason on making a dream a paying job and thank you for all your hard work.
