Idk about an overarching plot, but in the latest episode, seeing Barbara finally fully embrace her place as a role model and motherly figure in Janine's life was up there with the most heartwarming sitcom moments I can remember. The pacing in general of the character relationships is one of the biggest strengths of this show - the dynamics seem natural and believable.
Yeah the show has definitely avoided flanderization except maybe a little with Jacob, like Ava is becoming a part of a group but still herself, Janine is able to express her feelings, Barbara is able to occasionally admit that she may be wrong etc
I think moving the school to the mall is in part because they don't want it to get stale, too. It's not that stale for me, but you don't do such a dramatic shift without something like that in the back of your mind.
Just finished watching season 4. Please touch museum sorta felt like this shows Harvest Festival moment. Culmination of a bunch of arcs into something that is more than the sum of its parts. Definitely my favorite season really love what they've done with Ava
i think we've really moved past the need for April Fools Day at this point. definitely fuels stupid clickbait like that.
Janelle voices a character on this animated series along Adam Scott and Stephen Root, very silly if you like adult cartoons
I never really have much to comment on about this show lol but I just wanted to pop in and say it's remarkable how consistent it has stayed, I find myself laughing multiple times at pretty much every episode
years from now i will definitely rewatch as its been one of my comfort shows as of recently, its so consistent
