  3. Pre-ordered LP! Love that pressing colour. No idea why ordering through the EU Hopeless Records site wasn't working for me, so I went with MerchNOW instead.

If anyone is curious, the artwork for Running from the light was taken in Asbury Park.

Digging the new song. Excited to learn more of the story.

That denim jacket is sweet too, shame you can't get it on its own.

Video is cool, love the old footage incorporated into it. Not digging the 20 hand signal he’s throwing up in the video or the idea of a 20 stencil for people to spray paint places.

I've just accepted at this point that I'm pretty much going to love everything Dan does. This is no exception.

Yeah that yellow is not easy on the eyes haha. I went with the Loneliest Places On Earth variant. some kind of splatter

    I didn't see a yellow one, I meant the weird tiger-striped one:

My kids would like it, since they love tigers, haha.

More thoughts after like 30 listens of the new song

VERY Springsteen and I love it for that. That interview with dan was rly interesting (and the host was wonderful too btw highly suggest listening if you haven’t) and two things of note really stuck out to me. One was I think it’s a great idea to have the band exist within the narrative instead of making all of this some weird way of Aaron like reminiscing or w/e. Idk I just like the idea that this guy who’s life has essentially bottomed out decided to pick up a guitar and get this off his chest. Two is that Dan and some others from the band/Hopeless mentioned that this song musically makes sense as a single but he’s afraid they may be tipping their hat too early as far as the narrative goes. I think it’s interesting that Diane is not in that list of people Aaron mentions in the song.

Dan also said he imagined this project as having 3 albums so we’ve got one more after this. Maybe some one offs and 7” to tide us over? Who knows.

So for people that have seen this project live, does Dan talk as Aaron in first person? Is that a weird/ stupid question to ask, I don't know.

    Yes

  22. I don't know why you'd expect someone who's created this character to not go all in when performing as them lmao

    I don't think it's a dumb question at all.

  24. No it's not, but it makes sense that he'd perform in-character, y'know?
