If you haven't saw, the song is up on Spotify (and I'm imagining Apple Music too). I gave it a few listens today and I LOVE this track. I have that chorus already bopping around in my head non-stop. Very excited for this!
Holy Springsteen vibes. Soupy is a machine. Sister Cities was such a step forward for TWY. I loved how he was able to paint a more abstract picture of the songs on that album. This project is a bit more in your face and literal, but I still love how clear the visuals come across. It reminds me of a more accessible version of early Mountain Goats, before John got lost in bizarre albums around one theme. Love that Robert and Katherine are two characters in the story. That is my name and my wife’s name. I’m trying to pinpoint who Rosa and Katherine are from the last albums. I love the reference to Bittersweet as well. Now...where the hell is Diane! I also think this album is going to tie the live show together because now they are a “literal” band on your. Smart move on his part. This will allow him to give context to the older songs live.
This is the best song that was never an 80s sitcom theme and I love it for that. Very bouncy and has that familiar melody to it that makes it so infectious
I use neither Apple Music nor Spotify so I'll wait until the video drops, but that teaser sounded great.
Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties Some pre-orders up...not sure if they'll be in the AW web store later or not, but alas
