I am tipsy too and I really shouldn't be for responsibility reasons lol, but I've been listening through their records chronologically today. I got my gf into them with Hope and last night she says she doesn't like their old records because they "used to be a punk band". I told her to relisten to METN and reassess her life

What's Manchester Orchestra like

 

Brand New if they were better writers and more consistent with a much better vocalist

 

Imma let that take cool off on the window sill and take on all comers

 

I haven't listened to a lot of Brand New. I have Deja Entendu and have heard TDAG a couple times

 

Give them a try Chase. Listen to Mean Everything to Nothing and the new album.

 

I think Brand New are great. I love all 4 records. But Devil and God is the only one I feel inclined to listen to in full. Manchester Orchestra appeal to a similar taste, but I consider every release to be a classic, and find that the arrangements on their last two records are genuinely beautiful. Especially the newest.

 

The newest is just so jaw dropping-ly beautiful
