One time I got my brother a cactus for Christmas and I had it in a gift bag so he would reach in and grab it. I thought that was funny

A cactus is the only plant that I've ever been able to keep alive.

 

We used to have a cactus named Jeff in our apartment in college. It lived for a long time until someone threw a box of cereal in the room knocking it over.

In highschool I was playing paintball with some people at my friend Kevin's place. Lots of mesquite trees and cactus out there. Kevin took off at a full sprint trying to catch someone and tried to side step a mesquite tree and lost his balance and landed in a cactus patch. One side of his body was completely covered in needles.

Sidenote- you would think that the long needles would hurt the most, and they do, but the tiny red needles are way worse because they're almost impossible to extract from your skin.
