My buddy worked for an internet upstart named Quirky. The premise is you come up with a product idea, submit it to them, and if they like it they manufacture it and you get like 2% royalties. They had a conference call one time and in an effort to be the "hip cool modern office", they video conferenced in Gilbert Gottfried as a special guest. This is an actual thing they did. He was a perverted dick, treated it like a standup special, and it was a monstrous disaster for HR.

Again, actually happened. The company went under in less than a year after.
