I'm also writing a fantasy novel at the moment, so maybe that colors opinion. But you have to do triple the world building as opposed to a contemporary setting novel (the one I'm trying to get published), if only because people can use imaginations to fill in contemporary settings way easier.

Bob's Burgers and Archer are both really good. I love The Simpsons and Futurama as well

My wife loves them and I'll watch them with her but I just find it all incredibly unfunny.

A very vocal minority of Dan Harmon's fanbase is pretty(ok very) annoying online, yes. Seems like a silly reason to not watch his shows though. I know plenty of R&M and Community fans that aren't all extra about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nice! Yeah, i'm obviously partial to Hummingbird too. We got more feedback from Waves, which I kind of expected.

 

Not having a good day so far. Got fired (knew it was coming) and I just haven't been feeling like myself lately. Could be worse tho.

My manager told my coworker (who is also a friend) and she told me she talking about it. That was two days ago. I knew she didn't like me and she would shit talk me behind my back. Told me she "couldn't use me because of my constant mistakes"

She's a really nasty lady and was the hardest part of the job.

 

That sounds incredibly shitty.

I guess good news is that you have an extended weekend! But really at least now you can find something that appreciates you and easier to deal with.

 

Bright side: gonna give you a much more flexible schedule to play D&D

Brighter side: I'll write her in as a drunk slob at a tavern that begs you for a job
