once upon a time there was a boy named jonny. jonny was cool, and people took his word for pretty much every statement he made. anyway, one day jonny was at the music store and decided to spend his last 10 bucks on taking back sunday's "tell all your friends". he got home, put it on, and hated it from first listen. that night, jonny sat up crying, wondering why he'd spent his last dime on such utter trash. but just as the tears started rolling down his cheek, jonny had an idea. if he could somehow convince all his friends that taking back sunday was the greatest thing to happen to emo, then maybe his money wouldn't be so wasted after all. the next day at school, jonny told susie about tbs and quoted them as "the greatest emo band in the entire world". susie had a huge crush on jonny, so w/o even listening to a single song on "tell all your friends", she vowed to tell everyone she could about this new found phenomenon. one of susies newly informed friends was a girl named claire. claire was a computer geek, and she spent most of her time on amazon.com writing reviews for various musical artists. anyway, when she told claire about how great tbs really was, claire decided to make a top 25 emo/punk/hxc listmania. at the top was taking back sunday's "tell all your friends". soon, everyone was hooked on tbs, although even after numerous listens, no one could figure out why. was it the vocals? no, they were pretty generic. was it the melodies? not really, they were pretty generic too. was it the lyrics? standard emo, nothing goundbreaking at all. so basically, everyone was hooked on tbs, and they didn't even know why. as for jonny, well lets just say that such talentless acts as silverstein, underoath and my chemical romance have him to thank for their success.

 

I've never loved and hated someone as much as you.

 

This CD is not about music
Its about The Guy who wrote it who is just using every song to say something
The music itself is abysmal - However many times I listen I cannot get myself going and I cannot bring myself to like any of the songs
I don't get the general obbessions with this band.
I doubt any of you listen to the new wave of music talent like AFI - Cos This CD is so unlike that it makes me cringe
Generally Poor Music, And unless your a wash-up hard metal, grunger who needs some nice gental simple basic bland songs - You might like it
But not for me - Which Dissapoints me - Because I thought I would enjoy it
