Typically, D&D is 4 people, 8 max, but this doesn't have to be typical D&D. If there's 10 of you, then I'll make it less killing grunts and more problem solving/mystery/tomfoolery with some bigger monsters to fight that way it's not a clusterfuck of 10 people going "I hit goblin with sword". It might suck at first because most people are new players and I'm a rather new DM but there's no way it won't be funny lol

Not quite: it's largely being talked about through a group PM @dadbolt started. Idk if he can add others to it but if not I'll just make our own thread so as not to clog this one. There's an awesome officially licensed website called Roll20 that you can run games from and such. So everyone would play live simultaneously on there and we'd voice chat through discord or something similar. Basically emulating a big chorus dinner table.

 

I am very down. I'm a new D&D player too so no worries.

 

I'm weirdly excited/terrified for this game haha

 

It will be interesting! Also, if anyone wants to play but is afraid they won't get the logistics, you can be an NPC. Basically this means I'll coordinate with you key parts of the story so you can rain hell or happiness down on the party as a villain, bar wench, talking dog, what have you.

Absolutely. It's a lot less complicated, and simultaneously makes my life easier while also taking some of the decision making out of my hands to make it even less predictable. Don't take this as discouragement because you're more than welcome to be a party member, but if not I'll get in touch soon and we'll figure out what role you want to play
