I think the lingo sounds ridiculous. I know games like that have a huge following, but as @electro haikus pointed out...I'm a pleb.

 

I literally gain weight in one weekend over there. Now that we live in the same town they ask whenever I'm off. Kids really like me most of the time and I'm so glad they do bc we just watch tv, listen and dance to music, and my personal favorite build shit with legos. They're 1,4,6.

What's way different about D&D than this stuff is it is sssooo much less serious, at least in the groups I've played in. My friend Paul who is the most veteran RPG guy I know died in the second session of our last campaign because he became so obsessed with making a molotov cocktail out of bees that he got killed by the bees. I got killed by an old hag because I accused her of killing children and making meat pies out of them. (I was right, for the record)

It's so good, man. I've learned not to plan beyond one session at all. Like, you can have this whole big story planned out, then one player decided to do something ballsy, rolls a 1, and screws everything up, and that's always the best part lol.
