vegan/gluten free pastries/desserts are always either really good or inedible

I'm not actually vegan or gluten free, I just like to pretend that makes it healthy

 

Gluten free pretzel sticks are better than non gluten free ones.

 

I am not a fan of thanksgiving because of less than ideal memories but I hope you all have good ones

well i live in suburbs in texas you think our asses have good vegan eats? hell no. its from the gorcery store that makes one kind of vegan muffin and all the rest are regular. wish we had more places like that here though, make my life a lot easier.

but besides the point does anybody else have a seriously horrible thanksgiving curse? i wait all day to eat and then its time and im just like ...im not hungry. i do it every year. i eat more on a regular day than on thanksgiving. i dont get it.

 

It's okay it's nothing that bad it's just been a rough start to the day haha, I'm all good

I always want pecan pie, have you ever had chocolate pecan pie, it's a real gamechanger

 

no, but that sounds fantastic. best pie I ever had was pecan so I'm partial to it, and of course, apple, sweet potato, pumpkin, key lime. I love pie

 

no I'm always hungry, like literally I get full like once a month at most

 

Can't wait to not talk to relatives and leave the room whenever possible

seriously, im sat upstairs at my parent's watching gilmore girls right now. actually kind of nice lol

 

I'm going to a nice buffet with my aunt, who is a wonderful person, but also partly insane at the same time. I'm sure she's lining her pockets with ziploc bags right now and mentally preparing herself to make our server switch our table from outside to in the shade to in the sun to inside. Then she'll make unusual demands for her food... Order grilled fish tacos and ask that the chef minimizes the grill marks on the fish and then complain that the barely spicy tacos were too spicy, as they always are, as they're tacos, and then have a conversation about the different types of tea for 5 minutes only to order hot water with lemon, and then leave a 10% tip. But I'm glad I can see her.

 

lol reminds me of my boyfriend's uncle. he's 55 and never been married because he is the most fussy person i know. he's so particular and if the waiter doesnt come quick enough, he'll run and go get them. or we'll completely have to leave a restaurant cause there's a 5 minute wait or the music is too loud. he's a nice guy but completely insufferable. he's super well off and he completely paid for my boyfriends college and including his two younger brothers. he means well honestly but his personality is something you can only stand for a short amount of times.

 

I don't eat much on thanksgiving

But that's because I always eat a ton the night before

 

My dad is like your uncle. I wish either of them had worked as a server or cook or bartender so they know how difficult they're being... I understand if what you order isn't correct or something, but there's etiquette that they're ignoring.

see, thank you! but i also feel a bit shit because since i dont eat whatever else eats my aunt and mom insist on making things that i can eat and theres all this special food for me and im like...ummm...im not hungry. i did it on christmas last year and my aunt still talks to my mom about how i didnt eat what she made for me. c'mon!

 

Same. I'm going to a massive buffet and I'll try to eat a little of everything. I never make it.

 

I KNOW! i get so embarrassed sometimes honestly. ive worked retail jobs growing up and nothing teaches you to be more caring and understanding of people than that. I go out of the way to be nice cause its shit to do what they do because people are rude. honestly, treat people with some nice respect and kindness, it aint that hard. dont need to be entitled all the time.
