Once could say they have no tricks at all. But it's just not for me and neither is Touche Amore from what I'm listening to so far.

Almost tempted to like every post in this thread anyway just to clog the activity feed.

 

St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Blues, a Letter, and King Park through You and I in Unison on Wildlife are absolutely fantastic. I really don't care for anything else they've done.

 

The first time I heard the sailboat album I thought it was Mewithoutyou demos or some shit.

I'm just happy I got to see Moving Mountains to counter-balance La Dispute.

 

I really need to get into post-B,S mwY more. Especially TS and PH. They're more in line with the mwY sound I love, but I never choose to listen to them. Foxes and BS are two of my favorite albums ever, though.

I know I listened to it when it first came out. I think I was in the middle of a huge Ellie binge, though, and no artist really ever competes with that, except maybe Thrice and Brand New.

 

It was during their swan song, so I was a bit bummed that they played a lot of self titled. I'm such a mark for Pnuema.
