I mean it's hard for me to focus enough to comprehend lyrics until I've heard the album many times already. bad attention span

 

I'm pretty sure Dustin's lyrics are 90% the reason thrice are my favorite band

 

I have a bad attention span too which is why I rarely listen to full albums

 

That's the only way I know to listen to music. I never put on a specific song, and if I want to get into a new artist I pick one album and listen to it a few times through

 

I either fall in love with full albums or select songs. And if an artist falls under one, their releases tend to stay in that half of the draw forever.

This is what I do. Unfortunately it leads to me listening to the first half of albums more than the last half on average

 

Another good example for me: I'm completely apathetic politically and don't understand much about politics but I fucking love Rise Against, especially Siren Song of the Counter Culture

I loved this when it came out and haven't listened to it in a long time. Listening now, it's aged pretty well.
