He definitely plays off it. When I think of shitty LA culture I think of him, he embodies it so well. he's got good jams though so WHATERVS.

 

I watched his interview recently on Seth Meyers and he was out of character and just seemed like a totally normal dude, but whenever I see videos of him performing I'm like, "I don't like this guy." So, I guess he's doing a good job lol. But like, this is the type of concert where I feel like I'll look like an asshole if I take out my phone to take a picture or something? I think it's funny 'cause I feel like a lot of the fans he attracts are the very people he satirizes

 

It's cuz Southern Californians love shitting on SoCal culture, myself included, so this kinda makes sense haha.

 

I'm mostly excited to hear dat horns section. The Fleet Foxes and a full horns section at their show a couple weeks ago and it was unreal

I haven't lived in SoCal long enough to start hating it yet. Also, Long Beach feels so much like Oakland/The Bay that I haven't noticed a huge shift in culture
