Laura showed me TFB the other day (after I introduced her to legendary band Crossfade). I thought the singer sounded cool and the lyrics were good but I don't listen to much for the lyrics, I enjoy good lyrics but hardly listen to music specifically for that, and the music itself was pretty good but felt kinda bland but idk that's just me, I wish I could get into it

 

I played Twin Sized Mattress for Dustin the other day and he didn't completely hate it, so I consider that a win

some songs are weirder and more interesting. it’s basically a band of wandering gypsies where it’s two guys but theres a smattering of other people on stage with them hitting triangles and shit, usually members of other bands on the bill

yeah. more indie pop or some other overly constricting genre tag because the world needs it’s stuff sorted into neat little corners so they can have an easier time being pretentious about it

 

dustin this is the A1 thread we need a hard stance one way or the other none of this middle of the road bs

 

its not for everyone and no one song is indicative of their overall output so it’s easy to get put off. i think West Virginia, Cough it Out, Lipstick Covered Magnet are the best jumping in songs
