i know it's lame and it's approaching having been unhappy longer than it was every happy, but for the first year or so it was sharing a beautiful cozy home with an awesome girl who kept trying to convince me to elope with her because she was so into it. it was pretty much everything i ever wanted and giving up the false hope that it would be like that again is a bandaid i haven't found a way to rip yet.

Can you find a smaller place that you afford by yourself?

 

yeah, but i won't for a few reasons.

• this was the landlord's first ever property and we were his first ever tenants. he only charges us $750/month for an enormous 4 bedroom flat with roof access. it's bigger than both stories of elena's house. that's $250 a piece between me, steve, and his girlfriend
• if i lived alone i would fall into a pit of depression. i'm a social dude, people make home for me.
• i hate this apartment but man i love this apartment
• my oldest friend is the dude i'm gonna be living with

 

Jesus, I would love to have a 4 bedroom place for that much. It's so expensive where I am. 2 bedroom apartments (like 1300-1500 sq ft) run anywhere from $1300-1700/mo.

I hope everything works out for you man, I can tell it's be a long, frustrating journey.

Get out when you can man, everything seems set up now for that bandaid to finally be ripped off as painlessly as possible, seems like the alternative is so much clearly better that being in a better environment will make the coping a lot easier... Always seems worse while still in it, waiting for it to inevitably happen, the pain gets a bit embellished... still hard but sometimes jumping before falling is better, and it seems youd be jumping to a better environment & energy at least.

Any recommendations for candles that are good with allergies? I love candles but can't really burn anything without having an attack.

I have pretty bad allergies as well so I am very hit or miss with ones. I have found that smelling the candles will kinda twinge that I couldn’t be near them burning. Especially if they smell like something I know I’m allergic to (example: pine) or an oil that is too overpowering (cinnamon).

That being said, I like the eucalyptus spearmint one. One called sweater weather which is eucalyptus and juniper.
