Out of focus headlights. Train platform. Too close to call between those two for me.

 

I think it would be appropriate to honor the subject matter with a cover and title that reflects with it. so, yeah something darker would be best

 

I honestly have no idea that's why I ask :(

I just assume it's a DFW reference or something

agreed. the dark is hard to write about, but it's so necessary and therapeutic and connecting (@Fucking Dustin and I have been talking about this quite a bit recently). you're doing good work

it was something E.E. Cummings said in a poem. it's probably just an abstraction but I love it anyway. sorry I can't enlighten you on the meaning

 

The train platform works well for me with the Night Work title. Trains running through the night to get people that are working the late hours is a nice visual for me and it just fits really well IMO

 

I really like The Butcher and the 4th piece of art from the first batch too tho

Night Work is definitely the title of the next book and The Butcher Was Here will be the title of the one after that. I actually think @lobstervegan wants to come up with something for the cover but if not: we are going to use the train platform. thank you everybody who participated. I feel good about what we did here

No problem. Last year someone read my first novel as their fiftieth book that year (finished reading it today, actually), and it’s kinda cool/synchronicity that your poetry book was my fiftieth book this year.
