What’s interesting is I thought they worked in tandem to some capacity. It’s weird.

 

I mean, they are using Epic's Unreal Engine 4. Without Epic, they'd have no engine. UE4 has great documentation for Chinese/Japanese developers, unlike most engines. Without UE4, they'd probably be riding the struggle bus.
