Seems like I missed a great thread day yesterday.

I played a 5 hour game of Dead of Winter last night and by the end we were all literally losing our minds

 

never forget yesterday, folks.

 

I've been interested in that game but it's only my wife and I for now

 

Glad you had a good night dude, I spent a couple of hours playing divinity and it's amazing

 

The first time I played it, I wasn’t sold, but last night it really clicked. My buddy who hosted is a board game freak/owns a board game shop and it’s his favorite game. It was pretty fun taking our black character, loading him up with shotguns, and sending him right to the police station to get revenge on systemic racism

 

Fuck I wantt! You should confirm if there’s online co-op so I know to buy it haha

 

How many did you b play with? It's hard to find too many 2-player games that are good that my wife is interested in.

Growing up I played ALOT of tabletop games, I've only recently been made aware that one can be a nerd for them haha.

Haha we played with 5, but you can absolutely play with 2, as each person controls multilple characters. Some cards allow you to welcome other survivors into tbe colony, and when you’re the one doing the welcoming you’re in charge of playing them. Wound up playing three characters at once last night

hey, @SlappinCups, just read The Nature of the Fun from BF&N. forgot how much I like that essay. gonna try to get through a lot of this book today

 

I think it would be very interesting to write essays but I don't know if I'm quite there yet. still trying to figure out how to be the best poet I can be; it is, however, definitely something I would like to try in the future.

In college I always wanted to too, after reading some great essays by DH Lawrence, David Quammen and then DFW. I’d have to sharpen my skills too though

 

for sure. you should still give it a shot tho if it's something you're into

 

the most arduous aspect to me would be finding a topic I feel like I am well-versed in enough that I could tell a stranger something about it that they don't already know
