Okay, it didn't really almost ruin our marriage, but it was our first big fight.

I got this fall themed Hawaiian shirt, it was my dad's, but I liked it, it was black, the buttons were wood, and the pattern was like, different colored autumn leaves. I thought it was cool in an ironic sort of way.

My wife hates the shirt. She couldn't believe I wore it to work.

One day, I see a trashbag full of old clothes labeled "Goodwill." Guess what shirt I saw in the bag.

I was livid. I told her that if she hated the shirt so bad, she could talk to me about it and ask me not to wear it, instead of stealing it and giving it away. She said the shirt was tacky and she wanted people at my new job to like me. She didn't want me to be picked on or anything. I told her if anyone at work didn't like the shirt, then I didn't want to be friends with them.

It was one of those fights that lasts like three days. Eventually I agreed that if it bothered her so much i wouldn't wear it but she can't just throw away my stuff without talking to me.

We still don't talk about it.
