One of my friends apparently does a lot of work with Paul F Tompkins

He worked on No You Shut Up! and did a bit of writing for Bojack (season 1 I think)

There's my sweet brag

 

Paul is the nicest person on Earth and if your friend told you otherwise na na na I can't hear you

 

I haven't asked him, we don't talk much cuz growing apart and life is busy but when we do talk it's rarely about his job

 

i totally blew it when i met Paul F but that's for the cringe thread and I refuse to tell it anyway

but yes he is very nice

 

I try to avoid asking people about work if I can help it

"Hey you know that thing you have to do every day and put intense focus on and desperately want a small break from? Let's discuss that thing in your free time"

 

I couldn't even talk to him when he was signing CDs after the show, I never can with anyone it feels so insincere

 

yeah im done trying to talk to my heroes lol. my brain turns to soup.

Last time I met a "hero" was meeting Frank Turner on St. Patrick's Day like 5 or 6 years ago but we were both equally wasted and it was great

 

goddammit

 

It probably helped that I purchased his entire discography on vinyl and about 6 t-shirts from him in that particular moment

 

oh so he was legally required to be nice to you it makes sense now

 

I also specifically wore a shirt for a young then on the rise UK punk band he was aware of, I basically approached the situation the way I would if I was trying to get laid

 

That's pretty depressing.

 

Only work 4 hours today, then 3 days off straight.

 

This is the first time I have seen this.

 

Dirty Heads, wow, haven't heard that name in awhile. That was one of my buddy Derek's favorite bands to get obliterated too lol.
