i'm an ikea virgin! my old furniture is still in my old place i'm moving back into and i want to shake the place up so it feels like less of a regression, and i've gotten handier with assembly and custom wood work over the last couple of years. what do you recommend? i'm looking for sturdiness over comfort

I had a friend whose uncle owned a bar in Atlanta and they have some kind of racing event there every year and he was like y'all can bartend every year if you do a good job. Like sent a limo to pick us up and drive us 4ish hours to Atlanta. I was like fuck yeah bc it was a lot of money. I got there and the outfits he wanted us to wear were ridiculously skimpy and I was like nah so he let me wear something less revealing which was still something I would never in a million years wear in public. I made the drinks too strong he said so I didn't get invited back bc I wasted liquor money.
