i consider myself to be woke but i'm still a deeply flawed creature. if people saw my inner workings their perception of me would change greatly. for instance: i respect women deeply and genuinely believe in gender equality, but i like sex a bunch and when i pass a beautiful stranger i still immediately sexualize them in my head. i've been wrestling with that lately because the fact others can't see it doesn't make it less right and it makes me feel shitty about myself.
